Ciszek-Chester Jr.

Chester Ciszek, Jr.,68, of North Arlington, NJ. (formerly of Jersey City) passed away Sunday December 17, 2017 at Hackensack University Medical Center when he lost his battle against Leukemia. Born in Jersey City, he Graduated from St. Mary’s High School Jersey City. Chet worked for the US Postal Service as a letter carrier in Secaucus for 20 years retiring in 2013.Chet was an angel on earth, with a heart of gold. He was always there for his family and friends and never expected anything in return. He will be sadly missed. He was a guardian angel to many of us while he was alive and will continue to be that for many of us in his passing. Chet is predeceased by his parents Angela (Liuzzo) and Chester Ciszek, Sr., and his nephew John Job. Surviving are his siblings Margaret (Peggy) Moore and her husband Arthur (Cookie), Debra Job and her husband James, Richard Ciszek and his wife Linda Amato, and Rachel Gavin Castaldo and her husband Jerry. Nieces and nephews Sharlene  Wochanec (John), Heather Moore (Pete), Tara Moore (Tommy), James Job (Sandy), Jason Job (Debbie), Jessica Ciszek, Matthew Ciszek, Brian Gavin (Nieisha), Frankie Gavin (Samantha), Kristen Gavin (Nino), his great nieces and nephews Krystal Ross (Mark), John Wochanec Jr., (Ashley), James Job III (Olivia), Brian Gavin, Jr., Bryson Gavin, Adrianna Vilardo, and Brayden Ross. Many Aunts, Cousins, and wonderful friends. Visitation will be  Thursday 5:00-9:00pm at Greenville Memorial Home Jersey City. Everyone will meet on Friday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church North Arlington, NJ for Mass 10:00am. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington,NJ.Omit flowers donations to American Cancer Society.

Although I didn't know Chet very well, I remember how he took care of his mom. He spoke so lovingly of her when she became ill. He was always kind and upbeat. RIP Chet.God bless your family.

Over the past 5 years Chester and I developed a bond , a very special bond . And yes , he did help me more than I helped him . But that was Chester , a very special individual whom we all loved . God bless your family
