Bonifacio Jose de Asis Jr., 40,of Jersey City , died July 19, 2017 as a result of his battle with E.H.E. (epitheloid hemangioendothelioma), a very rare vascular tumor form of Cancer. He was born March 11, 1977 in New York City, the son of Bonifacio and Emma (Jose) de Asis. He attended Hudson Catholic High School and graduated from Kean University in 2001, where he studied Journalism and Communications. Up until his battle with E.H.E., he was most currently employed with Paychex working as a Senior Computer Operator.

"Boggie" as his family and friends more affectionately knew him, is survived by his parents Bonifacio and Emma of Jersey City and his brother Alan. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Ophelia de Asis of Rochester,, NY. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a generous number of close friends who supported him in his valiant battle with E.H.E.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Greenville Memorial Home of Jersey City located at 374 Danforth Avenue. Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017 between 4:00 - 8:00pm. The internment will be preceeded by Mass on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 to be held at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church located at 40 Sullivan Drive in Jersey City. Intenrment will follow and will be held at Holy Name Cemetery located at 823 West Side Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the EHE Foundation. Boggie's parents are going to start a Fundraising Drive in Memory of their son so our scientists and caregivers can continue to find a cure. Any and all proceeds will be forwarded to the EHE Foundation in Memory of Boggie de Asis.
